The software includes all measurement functions. Modular design allows all applications to be completed with one instrument, which can be customized according to your needs.

Reliable results

High end imaging technology and advanced analysis algorithms can accurately detect and analyze contact angles and surface free energy. The influence of roughness on wettability can be measured using a unique 3D morphology module.

Fast and repetitive

All steps from loading measurements to executing measurements and analyzing data can be automated. Disposable drip heads can avoid cross contamination, do not require cleaning, and save time.

Theta Flex optional accessories:

3D morphology module: It can automatically measure the roughness and contact angle of the sample, and obtain the roughness corrected contact angle to study the influence of roughness on wettability.

High pressure chamber: can be tested at 400 bar pressure and 200 ℃ temperature. Specially designed for applications in improving oil recovery and supercritical fluids.

Oscillatory droplet module: capable of automatically measuring interfacial expansion viscoelasticity and conducting interfacial rheological studies, suitable for gas-liquid and liquid-liquid interfaces.

Whole machine tilting frame: used for automatic measurement of dynamic contact angle (forward angle, backward angle) and rolling angle.

Automatic skin lift dropper: Used for contact angle measurement and inkjet applications of very small area samples, it can automatically dispense skin lift droplets.

Temperature control unit: controls the ambient temperature and is used for testing contact angle and surface tension. Multiple temperature control units are available for selection.
